Ukraine is our first line of defense – Latvian President Rinkēvičs

President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs called Ukraine Europe’s first line of defense.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Delfi.

"I can agree with people who have said a lot that our first line of defense is Ukraine. We would (rather) thank the Ukrainians who are fighting than perhaps they would have to thank us," the Latvian leader said.

According to him, Riga should be prepared for a hybrid war.

"We also see attempts to use new technologies, such as artificial intelligence. This is the first cyber war," Rinkēvičs added.
