Oil refinery in Tuapse halted after SSU drone strikes – Reuters

The oil refinery in Tuapse, owned by Rosneft, suspended its operations after a drone strike by the SSU on January 24, 2024.

According to Reuters sources, the refinery has halted both oil refining and production of petroleum products.

It will not be possible to resume production quickly. Repairs will last until the end of February - beginning of March.

As a result of a January 24 attack by SSU drones, the plant's vacuum unit burned down.

As reported, the SSU targeted facilities that provide fuel to enemy troops and are important for the Russian economy.

The Tuapse oil refinery is one of the ten largest in the country and processes up to 9 million tons of raw materials annually.
