3,000 155 mm calibre shells to be delivered by France to Ukraine every month - Lecornu

France will supply Ukraine with 3,000 rounds of 155 mm artillery systems made in France every month.
According to Censor.NET, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Ivan Havryliuk said this in an interview with NV, citing French Armed Forces Minister Sebastian Lecorne.
"Official Paris has once again demonstrated the steadfastness of its support for Ukraine. France plans to produce 78 Caesars for Ukraine, six of which will be delivered in the near future. Regarding 155mm shells for French artillery systems, French Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu said that France would be able to provide the Ukrainian army with 3,000 shells per month," Havryliuk said.
He thanked the French President, the French Minister of the Armed Forces, and the entire French people for their significant assistance to Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, as well as for their leadership in the Artillery Coalition and steps to strengthen the firepower of the Ukrainian army.
According to the deputy minister, at the first meeting of the Artillery Coalition in Paris, which was attended by 22 states, representatives of the Ukrainian delegation made a strong case for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, given the threats in the future, spoke about military-technical cooperation in long-term support of the Ukrainian army. In particular, we discussed the provision of artillery, shells, and spare parts for artillery systems or their production in Ukraine, improving the intelligence and fire control system of artillery units, and organising the repair of artillery weapons. During the first meeting. Artillery Coalition, we heard important statements from our partners regarding further military support for Ukraine," Havryliuk said.
He noted that the Russian Federation is promoting the production capacities of the military-industrial complex, purchasing ammunition and missiles from other countries. "Our response must be powerful. Despite the existing problems in the world with the production of ammunition and weapons, we and our partners must find ways to provide the Defence Forces with everything they need," the Deputy Minister said.
When asked what kind of artillery systems Ukraine intends to purchase abroad, Havryliuk answered: "We are currently negotiating with certain countries and manufacturers of art systems. I can't talk about their results yet."
