Tavria OSG: Avdiivka is not surrounded

As of February 15, Avdiivka is not surrounded
This was reported by Dmytro Lykhoviy, head of the public relations department of the Tavria OSG, on the air of the national telethon "United News", Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"Our soldiers continue to conduct a defense operation in the Avdiivka direction. Avdiivka is not surrounded, although Russian propaganda may be trumpeting this," explained Lykhovii, adding that it is not worth disclosing information about the movement of the combat line for security reasons.
The spokesman also noted that the enemy's use of small assault groups has increased in number. Moreover, the number of enemy air strikes has increased significantly.
"If earlier this month there were several days when the enemy did not conduct any air strikes in the Tavria OSG area, in the last few days it seems that all its combat aviation and bombers are focused not only on Tavria, but on the Avdiivka sector in general. There were more than 70 air strikes per day, and yesterday there were 43, which is also a lot. This is many times higher than the average. Unfortunately, the ratio in the sky does not allow us to hit Russian planes, because they operate at a considerable distance from the combat line, using guided bombs, which, unfortunately, cause significant damage and turn Avdiivka into a second Marinka, a second Bakhmut. There are piles of rubble from houses, ruins that are impossible for the defenders to maintain," emphasized Lykhovii.
Commenting on the situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the military said that the situation there is significantly different due to the long length of this section of the frontline.
"The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction remains stable. Indeed, there is a significant group of Russians concentrated there, which is comparable to the one in Avdiivka. But you need to take into account that if Avdiivka is a narrow strip, it is an urban area, literally a few meters away, and 50 thousand or more Russians are trying to get there. Whereas the Zaporizhzhya direction starts almost from the border with Donetsk region and goes all the way to Dnipropetrovsk region," noted the spokesman, adding that this way the Russian contingent is stretched over a large length of the front.
He assured that there is no threat to Zaporizhzhia, the situation there is stable.
