Italy and Spain will not send troops to Ukraine
Spain and Italy have announced that they will not send their troops to Ukraine to defend against Russian aggression.

Thus, Spain does not agree with France's proposal to send European ground troops to Ukraine, government spokeswoman Pilar Alegria said. Spain wants to limit the assistance to the provision of weapons only.
"Unity has been and is the most effective weapon Europe has to resist Putin's attack," she said.
At the same time, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, according to ANSA, also said that his country is against sending troops to Ukraine.
According to him, this is "Macron's idea".
"But when you talk about sending troops, you have to be very careful, because we should not make people think that we are at war with Russia. We are not at war with Russia, we are defending Ukraine, and in my personal opinion, I am not in favour of sending Italian troops to fight in Ukraine," Tayani said.
Earlier, French President Macron said that the North Atlantic Alliance could theoretically send troops to help Ukraine. However, there is currently no consensus on this issue.
