Ukrainian defense forces repelled 49 Russian attacks in five directions over last day. Novopavlivka remains most active, 21 enemy attacks stopped there - General Staff

Forty-nine combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day. Most Russian attacks were repelled in the Novopavlivka direction.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported on the official Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The seven hundred and sixty-third day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country continues. During the day, 49 combat engagements were recorded. In total, the enemy launched 7 missile and 60 air strikes, fired 73 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. A number of high-rise buildings, medical institutions, cars, a school, a kindergarten and other civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged," the evening report said.

The situation in the North

The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. There are no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups.

On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts subversive and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out air strikes near Veterynarne in the Kharkiv region and Kharkiv. About 10 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks, including Khrinivka, Hirsk, Mkhy, Tymonovychi, Kostobobriv, Mykhalchyna Sloboda in the Chernihiv region; Kucherivka, Starykove, Kindrativka, Veselivka, Basivka in the Sumy region; Veterynarne, Borysivka, Ambarne, Strilecha in the Kharkiv region.

Hostilities in the East

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. The enemy carried out air strikes near the settlements of Novoiehorivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region. About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, our troops repelled two enemy attacks near Terny in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy launched an air strike near Yampolivka in the Donetsk region. Artillery and mortar shelling affected more than 10 settlements, including Makiivka in the Luhansk region and Terny¸ Serebrianka, Spirne in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled four attacks near Ivanivske and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation. The enemy launched air strikes near Novyi and Druzhba in the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Vasiukivka and Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled nine attacks near Berdychi, Semenivka and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by air power, tried to knock our units out of their positions. The enemy launched an air strike near Tsukuryno in the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Ukrainsk in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops 21 times. The enemy also conducted air strikes near the towns of Oleksandropil, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, Vuhledar in Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

The situation in the South

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders 3 times near Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Poltavka, Rivne, Charivne, Orikhiv, and Piatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions during the day. The city of Kherson and Mykhailivka in the Kherson region and Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region came under enemy fire.
