Another Sartana shelling victim dies in hospital, - media

This morning, Aug. 18, a woman injured in the Sartana shelling died in the Mariupol city hospital No. 4.

"Doctors struggled for the woman's life, but this morning her heart stopped beating," Sartana village mayor Stepan Makhsma said.

The woman was injured while running with her daughter down Hromova Street to her mother's house. A 10-year-old daughter of the deceased is staying in the Mariupol city hospital No. 3 with her foot having been amputated following the shelling.

The death toll has consequently risen up to three people.

Aug. 16, the village of Sartana was shelled from the non government-controlled area, M sector Deputy Commander Valerii Vodolazskyi said on Monday at a meeting of the Mariupol territorial defense staff.
