Occupiers destroyed almost all critical infrastructure in Kharkiv - Mayor Terekhov

The Russian army destroyed almost the entire municipal and private energy infrastructure of Kharkiv.

According to Censor.NET, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said this in an interview with LIGA.net.

He noted that the regional centre has been subjected to various threats over the two years since the start of the full-scale invasion.

"I don't know what the enemy's plan is. Almost all critical energy infrastructure has already been destroyed, and private infrastructure has also been destroyed. There was a time when 300,000 people were left in a city of almost two million," Terekhov said.

The mayor stressed that the situation for the energy sector in the city is very difficult.

"However, no one is giving up. We have points of resilience working around the clock. During the two days of the last blackout after the shelling, 28,000 Kharkiv residents came there. Schools provide free meals. Over the year, we have distributed 10 million meals. We have survived more difficult times, and we will survive these," he said.
