If Western support stops, Kyiv could again become a target for Russian ground forces.

This was stated by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klytschko in an interview with the German edition of Bild, Censor.NET reports.

"Kyiv has been and remains a target for Putin because the capital is the heart of the country. But we are much better prepared than two years ago. If Putin makes this decision, it will be a bloody decision," Vitalii Klytschko said.

The Kyiv mayor also said that Ukraine needs more weapons to defend its territories. He called talks about negotiations and "freezing" the war unacceptable for Ukrainians.

"This is the wrong attitude. Instead, we need more support. We will not give up any territories to Russia. This cannot be a compromise. We urgently need more air defense, more anti-aircraft missiles!" Vitalii Klytschko emphasized.

Earlier, in an op-ed on Ukrainska Pravda, Vitalii Klitschko said that as long as terrorist Putin is alive, he will not give up his intention to seize Ukraine. Therefore, the issue of fortifications in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and other regions that may face a new enemy invasion tomorrow should be a priority.
