Ukraine has developed a plan for a new counter-offensive. However, it needs weapons to implement it.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the German edition Bild.
He is convinced that his country can still defeat Russia, but it needs modern weapons to do so.
"Yes, we have a counter-offensive plan. Yes, Russia has more people and more weapons. But the united West has modern weapons systems. Therefore, we expect to receive certain technologies. And if we continue to increase production and get licences from our partners, it's not about the number of people. It is only about the quality of the weapons," Zelenskyy said.
The President also commented on the issue of negotiations with the aggressor country.
"We are dealing with Putin here. Everything he's said so far, he's acted differently afterwards. We cannot trust him. We can agree on everything, but the question is whether he will stick to it," Zelenskyy explained.
At the same time, speaking about calls to freeze the war, the president said that Putin was only using this pause to prepare for a new attack.
"Of course, some people will be happy. The world will say: "Yes, we have managed to freeze the conflict, the missiles are not flying". But this is only until Russia increases production and stockpiles of military equipment, missiles, drones and analyses all the mistakes it made in the beginning," he concluded.
