Ukrainian army receives 170 pieces of military equipment. PHOTOS
The ceremony of weapons and military equipment transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine with participation of the Supreme Commander, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the High Command took place at the military airport in Chuhuiv city in the Kharkiv region today, Aug. 22.

According to the report, the head of state congratulated the soldiers on Independence Day of Ukraine during the meeting with the personnel of the Armed Forces and participated in the transfer of military equipment and weapons to the detachments involved in the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbas.
"170 pieces of military equipment has already been taken to the east of Ukraine to fulfill combat missions in the ATO area. They include 25 Bulat, T-64, T-72, and T-80 tanks, seven units of Grad MLRS, five OSA surface to air missile systems, five Pion-2S7 self-propelled mortars, seven Gvozdika-2S1 self-propelled guns, 20 Humvees, 20 units of BMP-2 and BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles, 15 units of MT-12 and MSTA- B cannons, 30 KrAZ power tugs, 25 KrAZ trucks, 10 MAZ power tugs and other weapons and military equipment," the statement reads.
