Two persons killed, six wounded yesterday, - ATO speaker
Two persons were killed, six received injuries in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area yesterday, Sept. 2.
As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the Presidential Administration speaker on ATO matters Oleksandr Motuzianyk at a briefing on Thursday.According to him, the situation was the most tense at Luhansk direction.
"Yesterday between 6 and 7 a.m., a Ukrainian anti-smuggling flying squad fell into an enemy's ambush. This happened between Shchastia and Slovianoserbsk. Our soldiers have repulsed an enemy sabotage group assault, and reinforcement of the Ukrainian Army soldiers was provided rapidly. In the course of the battle two persons were killed - a volunteer and an officer of the state tax police. Six soldiers received injuries," Motuzianyk said.
Along with that, the ATO speaker noted there were no casualties among the ATO forces at other directions yesterday.
