SBU prevented attempt on Interior Minister Avakov

The Security Service of Ukraine together with the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office prevented a possible assassination of Ukraine's Interior Minister as well as several other assassinations in Kyiv and Kharkiv.

The report reads: "As a result of a special operation, law enforcers exposed a criminal group preparing assassinations of top police officials, an MP, businessmen and volunteers.

Group's co-organizer, commander of Slobozhanshchina battalion was detained today in Kharkiv.

Investigations within a criminal proceeding opened under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are underway, with searches being conducted at suspect's apartment and other locations."
