Poroshenko and Nuland discussed prospects of aid for Ukraine
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State Victoria Nuland.

The parties emphasized the necessity to further coordinate efforts aimed at ensuring the international support for Ukraine under the ongoing Russian aggression.
Victoria Nuland noted that the U.S. supports consistent efforts of Ukraine intended to establish a sustainable cease-fire regime in the Donbas.
The parties discussed topical issues of Ukrainian-American relations, in particular, further bilateral contacts, prospects of further financial aid for Ukraine on behalf of the United States, as well as activities within the regular session of the UN General Assembly in New York in late September.
Victoria Nuland also praised important and decisive steps of Ukraine towards decentralization stressing full conformity of the constitutional amendments with the Minsk agreements.
