On the morning of 25 December 2024, Kharkiv suffered another massive missile attack on energy facilities.
This was announced by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov on his telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, the enemy launched 12 missiles at the city, all of which were aimed at boiler houses, thermal power plants, and electricity facilities. Along with the shelling of Kharkiv, the entire energy sector of the country came under attack.
"As a result of the shelling of NPC 'Ukrenergo', special schedules of power outages in Kharkiv were introduced. Soon, the schedules of emergency power outages will be posted on the oblenergo's website. As a result of the strike on heat and power facilities, a large part of Kharkiv is without heating. So far, four people have been injured. Also in the morning, several Shaheds attacked Kharkiv, damaging private residential buildings," the statement said.
However, according to Terekhov, they managed to ensure the normal operation of the city's electric transport. All our specialised utilities will work to keep the heat on and restart the heating system.
He also stressed that all the Invincibility points in Kharkiv are now open and equipped with everything they need.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, on 25 December, from 6:00 to 6:30, the Russian armed forces launched a massive attack on Kharkiv and its suburbs. Law enforcement officers recorded at least ten enemy hits.
"In Kharkiv, the Saltivskyi, Kyivskyi, Industrial and Nemyshlianskyi districts were under enemy fire. Residential buildings, civilian and critical infrastructure facilities were damaged. Six civilians were injured.
It has been preliminarily established that the attack was carried out with S-400 missiles in the Saltivka district and Kh-35 missiles in the Nemyshlianskyi district. The exact type of missiles used in the other attacks is being established," the statement said.
At approximately 6:50 a.m., the enemy attacked Slobozhanske village, Chuhuiv district, with a UAV. A civilian enterprise was damaged.
At around 8:30 a.m., an attack UAV hit a private residential sector in the Osnovianskyi district of Kharkiv. A residential building was on fire. Fortunately, no one was in the house.
