Number of combat engagements on frontline increased to 128, fighting continues in six directions - General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat engagements along the entire front line has increased to 128.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff on the situation at the front as of 4 p.m. on December 25, Censor.NET reports.
Russian strikes on the territory of Ukraine
The occupiers continue to use aviation, in particular, dropping GABs. The defense forces are holding the line and taking the necessary measures to prevent a breakthrough.
The invaders do not stop using artillery on the territories of the regions bordering the enemy. The areas of Baranivka, Zarichne, Prohres, Stepok, Hirky in Sumy region and Kostobobriv in Chernihiv region came under enemy fire.
The situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, there was one combat engagement with Russian invaders near Vovchansk.
Five assault actions were recorded near Dvorichna, Pishchane, Kolisnykivka and Lozova in the Kupiansk direction, three of these clashes are still ongoing.
The situation in the East
In the Lyman direction, the enemy is attacking in the areas of Novoiehorivka, Kopanky, Zelenyi Hai, Makiivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Serebrianskyi forest and in the direction of Druzheliubivka. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 19 combat engagements in this area, three of which are ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, our troops repelled one enemy attack near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attempts to advance near Stupochki, and one combat engagement is currently ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our troops six times in the vicinity of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 35 times today in the areas of Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachanske, Pokrovsk, Novyi Trud, Zelene and Novotroitske, seven firefights are ongoing.
In the Kurakhove direction, our defenders repelled 14 attacks in the areas of Petropavlivka, Slovianka, Yasenove, Kurakhove and Dachne. Seven enemy assaults have already been repelled by our defenders, and seven more combat engagements are underway.
The situation in the South
In the Vremivka direction, 17 enemy attacks near Kostiantynopolske, Yantarne, Kostyantynopol, Rozlyv, Velyka Novosilka, Novosilka, Blahodatne and Vremivka were stopped, and eight more combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders successfully repelled two enemy attempts to advance towards Novodanylivka.
Sixteen combat engagements were registered in the Kursk direction today, eight of them are still ongoing. Moreover, the enemy made 266 artillery attacks.
The General Staff added that the enemy has not conducted any active operations in the Huliaipole and Prydniprovske directions since the beginning of the day.
