During 26 December 2024, 171 combat clashes between Ukrainian defenders and Russian invaders were recorded.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
Shellings of Ukraine
Yesterday, the occupiers launched two missile attacks using two rockets and 42 air strikes, including 55 GABs on Ukrainian positions and localities. In addition, they carried out more than 5,700 shellings, including 289 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used about 2,400 kamikaze drones.
The Russians carried out air strikes near the settlements of Velyka Pysarivka, Khodyne, Taratutyne in Sumy region; Medvedivka in Chernihiv region; Nadiia, Oleksandrivka, Zelenyi Hai in Donetsk region.
Hostilities in the east
Two hostile attacks took place in the Kharkiv sector yesterday in the vicinity of Vovchansk and Starytsia.
Nine occupiers' attacks took place in the Kupyansk sector over the last day. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of Zakhidne, Lozova and Kruhliakivka, Bohuslavka and Nova Kruhliakivka.
With the support of aviation, the enemy attacked in the Lyman direction 25 times. They tried to advance near Kopanky, Cherneshchyna, Novoserhiivka, Platonivka, Zelenyi Hai, Druzheliubivka, Makiivka, Terny, Zarichne and Torske.
Yesterday, the aggressor tried to force our defenders from their positions near Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka in the Siverskyi sector four times by assault. They were unsuccessful.
Four assaults took place in the Kramatorsk sector yesterday in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Bila Hora and Oleksandro-Shultyne.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 13 attacks in the vicinity of Dyliivka and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 42 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor towards Vozdvyzhenka, Miroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Dachenske, Novyi Trud, Pishchane, Pokrovsk, Novoolenivka, Vovkove, Shevchenko and Novotroitske.
In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian defence forces repelled 23 enemy attacks. The enemy concentrated its main offensive efforts in the areas of Petropavlivka, Slovianka, Andriivka and Kurakhove.
In the Vremivka sector, the enemy conducted 24 attacks on our positions near the settlements of Yantarne, Vremivka, Kostiantynopil, Novyi Komar and Kostiantynopilske.
Situation in the south and north
The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Huliaipillia sector.
In the Orikhiv sector, near Novoandriivka, the invaders made one futile attempt to push our defenders from their positions.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian invaders attacked our positions three times. Having suffered losses, they retreated.
In the Kursk sector, our defenders repelled 20 enemy attacks yesterday, the enemy fired 424 artillery shells, including 30 from multiple launch rocket systems, and carried out 24 air strikes, downing 34 GABs.
There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy is actively using artillery and aviation in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation.
Strikes on the occupiers
Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces struck ten areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons, destroying one command post, one enemy artillery system and one other important enemy object.
Losses of Russian troops
In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1,650 casualties over the last day. Ukrainian troops also neutralised 14 tanks, 18 armoured combat vehicles, 22 artillery systems, an air defence system, 28 operational and tactical UAVs, 82 vehicles and a unit of occupiers' special equipment.
