Russia launches military exercise involving Iskander-M firing
In the Astrakhan region, the Russian Federation, an active phase of Russia's armed forces exercise involving Iskander-M operational firing is underway.
As reported by Censor.NET citing RIA "Novosti," this was announced by Eastern Military District spokesperson, Colonel Aleksandr Gordeyev.
"During the practical phase of the exercise, a series of electronic missile launches will be carried out, including further operational repositioning and escaping retaliation. At the end, a cruise missile will be launched to cover a range of up to 300 kilometers and hit a target simulating the command post of an imaginary enemy," Gordeyev said.
According to him, the entire unit's personnel has received both theoretical and practical retraining with Iskander-M missile systems.
