Shootout in Kyiv: policeman attempting to detain criminal group wounded

Criminals wounded a policeman in Kyiv as he was trying to arrest them. The operation to intercept the perpetrators is underway.

Censor.NET informs citing Kyiv police press service.

"Criminals tried to escape by their car during a special operation to arrest the criminal group that was held today in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. One of the operatives got on the roof of their car to stop them. One of the passengers fired a shot and hit the policeman's hand," the statement reads.

It is noted that the police officer was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his arms and head injuries. The perpetrators managed to escape from the scene.

The operation to apprehend the criminals is underway in the city.
