Ukrainian defence forces repel 7 Russian attacks in Kursk sector, 3 more clashes are ongoing - General Staff
Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel the enemy's attempts to advance into the depths of our territory, inflicting effective fire damage and exhausting them along the entire frontline. Since the beginning of this day, there have been 94 combat engagements.

Russian shellings of Ukraine
The Russian invaders carried out 70 air strikes using 106 GABs. In addition, the Russians engaged 833 kamikaze drones and fired 4,767 times at the positions of our troops and settlements.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv sector, one firefight is ongoing near Vovchansk, while the enemy also launched air strikes on Baranivka and Bochkove.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy stormed our defenders' positions 12 times in the areas of Petropavlivka, Pishchane and Zahryzove. Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks, and another firefight is still ongoing.
Hostilities in the east
In the Lyman sector, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions near Terny, Novoliubivka and Yampolivka four times over the last day. Our defenders repelled all enemy attacks.
In the Siverskyi sector, an attack on the positions of our units near Bilohorivka is ongoing. In addition, the occupiers launched air strikes with guided bombs on the settlements of Siversk and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, three combat engagements are ongoing near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk sector, Russians attacked the positions of the defence forces 12 times. The occupiers concentrated their main offensive efforts near Krymske, Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. One firefight is currently ongoing.
Since the beginning of the day, in the Pokrovsk sector, invading units have attempted to break through our defences 27 times near the localities of Malynivka, Novopoltavka, Zelene Pole, Tarasivka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka and Dachne. Four firefights are still ongoing.
The enemy is suffering significant losses - today Ukrainian troops neutralised 246 occupiers in this sector, 124 of them irretrievably. Two tanks, seven vehicles, three motorcycles, one BM 21 "Grad" multiple rocket launcher, one cannon, three UAV control antennas and one enemy satellite communications system were destroyed, and a self-propelled vehicle, a car, two cannons and a motorcycle were severely damaged.
Situation in the south
The enemy is also active in the Novopavlivka sector, attacking our positions near Kostiantynopil, Rozdolne and Novyi Komar six times, two of which are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipillia sector, the invaders carried out two offensives in the direction of Novosilka, one of which is still ongoing.
In the Orikhivsk sector, our troops repelled two enemy attacks near Novodanylivka and Shcherbaky.
In the Prydniprovsky sector, the enemy attacked our troops' positions in the areas of Antonivka and Prydniprovskyi eight times without any results.
The Kursk direction
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks, with three more clashes still ongoing. In addition, the enemy carried out 26 air strikes using 37 guided bombs, and fired over a hundred artillery shells at our troops' positions and settlements.
The situation in other sectors did not change significantly.
Today, it is worth noting the soldiers of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade of the Tauride Brigade, the 18th Slavic Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 422nd separate battalion of unmanned aerial vehicles, and the 406th separate artillery brigade, who are steadfastly holding back the advance of the enemy's superior forces.
