Italy will join in rebuilding Ukraine’s energy sector, - Italian Foreign Minister Tajani
Italy will be actively involved in Ukraine's recovery process, in particular in the restoration of energy infrastructure.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Antonio Tajani during a speech at the Support Ukraine forum in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"There can be no negotiations without Ukraine and without Europe. There can be no agreement without Ukraine and without Europe.... Peace must go hand in hand with strong security guarantees for Ukraine," he said.
Tajani also emphasized that Italy is ready to actively contribute to Ukraine's recovery after the war, particularly in the areas of economy, trade and education.
"We want tourists to visit Ukrainian cities and Ukrainians to visit our universities and our cities. We will join the reconstruction process," he said.
Italy will pay special attention to the restoration of Ukraine's energy sector, which has suffered significant damage due to Russian aggression.
"We will organize an international conference on reconstruction. It will be held in Rome on July 10-11 this year. We want to organize something that will be a huge success for Ukraine," said Tajani.
