Since beginning of day, 62 combat engagements took place in frontline, most of them in Pokrovsk and Kursk directions – General Staff
As of 16:00 on Tuesday, February 25, the total number of combat engagements along the entire front line is 62.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
The General Staff notes that the Defense Forces are holding their lines and taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from breaking through the defense.
Enemy shelling
The invaders continue to use aviation, in particular, to drop GABs (guided aerial bombs), and carry out ground attacks.
The invaders do not stop using artillery on the territories of the regions bordering the Russian Federation. The areas of Uhroidy, Vilne, Popivka, Oleksandrivka, Bila Bereza, Yizdetske in the Sumy region and Hirsk in the Chernihiv region came under enemy fire.
Hostilities in the Kharkiv region
Four assault actions by the invaders took place in the direction of Vovchansk and Dvorichna in the Kharkiv direction. Enemy aircraft dropped GABs on Zolochiv, Udy and Yemtsi, and struck Vovchanske Khutory with free-flight rockets.
The enemy tried four times to advance on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Petropavlivka and Zahryzove in the Kupiansk direction.
Hostilities in Donbas
In the Lyman direction, the aggressor is attacking in the areas of Nadiia, Novoliubivka, Zelena Dolyna and Yampolivka. Since the beginning of the day, there have been five combat engagements in this area, one of which is ongoing.
Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Ivan-Darivka and Verkhnokamianske in the Siversk direction, one battle is still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attempt to advance near Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian troops' positions seven times in the areas of Toretsk and Krymske. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian troops' positions 14 times in the vicinity of Promin, Tarasivka, Nadiivka, Preobrazhenka and Andriivka, three engagements are ongoing. Lysivka and Pokrovsk came under attack from GAB.
In the Novopavlivka direction, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the vicinity of Kostiantynopil and Burlatske, and two more are still ongoing.
Hostilities in the south
Two combat engagements continue in the Orikhiv direction, and Ukrainian troops have already repelled another enemy attack. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske.
One unsuccessful Russian assault in the Prydniprovske direction ended.
The enemy has not conducted any offensive actions in the Huliaipole direction since the beginning of the day.
AFU operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation
Ten combat engagements took place in the Kursk direction today, three of them are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy carried out 6 air strikes, dropped nine GABs and fired 294 artillery rounds.
