AFU halted Russian troop breakthrough near village of Novenke in Sumy region. Enemy continues its assault attempts – General Staff

On February 25, the Russian army crossed Ukraine’s state border near the village of Novenke in the Sumy region. The defense forces repelled the enemy, pushing them back into Russian territory.
This was announced by the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Lykhovii in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
"On February 25, the enemy stormed this section of the border with up to two mechanized units, crossed the state border of Ukraine, but was blocked and pushed back to the territory of the Russian Federation. Later, Russian troops continue to attempt assault operations, now with infantry groups," he said.
Currently, the fighting in the area continues.
The General Staff emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking measures to prevent the enemy from cutting off Ukrainian logistics.

The village of Novenke in the Sumy region was marked as a "gray zone" on the map of the DeepState monitoring resource.
Andrii Kovalenko, head of the CCD (Center for Countering Disinformation), reported that Russian infantry, operating without armored support, was conducting assaults along the border with the Sumy region.
