I’m in middle between Zelenskyy and Putin – Trump

US leader Donald Trump said he would mediate between Ukraine and Russia during peace talks.

The US president said this during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on February 28 at the White House, Censor.NET reports.

Trump was asked which side he was on - Russia or Ukraine - and replied that he was "in the middle."

"I'm in middle. I want to resolve this. I want what's best for both. I would like to see this resolved. It's easy to criticize others, but I want to solve it. If we can resolve it, that would be great," Trump said.

He also added:

"They (Zelensky and Putin - ed.) clearly dislike each other, I can tell you that. This meeting cannot be friendly. It's just the way things are.
