Over past 4 months, Russia has handed over twice as many bodies as during full-scale war - Interior Ministry

Repatriation of Ukrainian bodies: The Ministry of Internal Affairs told about identification

The register of missing persons already contains more than three thousand bodies that have not yet been identified. Over the past 4 months, Russia has handed over twice as many bodies to Ukraine as during the entire period of the full-scale invasion.

This was announced by the Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances Artur Dobroserdov during the presentation of the film "Repatriation. Heroes on the Shield," Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

He noted that the Register of Missing Persons currently contains information about more than 3,200 bodies that have not yet been identified.

When referring to "bodies," he also means individual remains.

"You understand that we have had large repatriations over the past 4 months, and the number of bodies that have been delivered is twice as many as those delivered during the full-scale invasion," Dobroserdov emphasized.

He also said that the investigation and identification processes are still ongoing.

According to him, the Register contains exactly those bodies that cannot be recognized visually and are being investigated.
