Syrskyi: In February, 22% more enemy targets were hit and destroyed than in January. Most effective are FPV drones and "bombers"

Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a monthly meeting on the development of unmanned systems, emphasising their key importance in modern warfare.
He posted this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
According to Syrskyi, drones not only help to hold the frontline, but also contribute to its advancement by destroying enemy equipment and personnel.
"Unmanned systems have become one of the most important elements of the war that save the lives of our soldiers," the commander said.
He noted that in February, the number of targets hit and destroyed increased by 22% compared to January, with FPV drones and multi-rotor bombers remaining the most effective.
Syrskyi emphasised the importance of sharing experience between unit commanders, in particular between "Magyar" and "Achilles", whose contribution improves the work of unmanned forces at the front.
The commander also emphasised the need to introduce a single standard for the operation of unmanned systems in the Armed Forces to improve coordination. He also acknowledged that Russia is actively adopting Ukraine's experience and developing its own technologies, including fibre-optic drones.
"We have no right to lag behind the enemy in the technological war and must strengthen ourselves with our own resources," Syrskyi said.
He also set out the task of manning the units and announced the awarding of the best servicemen.
