Ukrainian Armed Forces are taking measures to prevent enemy’s advance into Ukraine, - General Staff
Ukraine's defence forces are holding back the offensive of the Russian occupiers. Terrorists continue to destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, aircraft and artillery strikes.
The defence forces are taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. So far, 64 combat engagements have taken place.

The situation in the north
Today, hostile artillery and mortar fire affected communities in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, including Bachivsk, Yastrubshchyna, Mykolaivka, Khodyne and Bila Bereza.
Hostilities in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv sector, four occupiers' attacks took place near Vovchansk, Kamianka and towards Kutkivka one battle is currently underway. The enemy launched an air strike on Udy.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian occupiers tried to break through our defences eight times in the areas of Petropavlivka, Bohuslavka, Lozova, Zahryzove and in the direction of Kupiansk, with one firefight currently ongoing.
Hostilities in Donbas
In the Lyman sector, the invading army conducted six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novoiehorivka, Zelena Dolyna and in the direction of Novomykhailivka. One firefight is still ongoing.
Ukrainian troops repelled two enemy attacks in the Siverskyi sector near Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Darivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops are repelling two enemy attacks in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, the aggressor carried out seven assault operations in the areas of Toretsk and Druzhba, six of which are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian invaders made 11 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near the settlements of Sukha Balka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Uspenivka, Yasenove and Andriivka. The defence forces are holding back the attack and repelled 10 enemy attacks, with one battle still ongoing. Pokrovsk was hit by GABs.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy tried six times to break through the defences of our defenders in the area of Kostiantynopil. The enemy dropped GABs on Novopavlivka.
Fighting in the south
In the Huliaipillia direction, the enemy attacked in the areas of Skudne, Pryvilne, Vilne Pole and in the direction of Novopil. The enemy also fired unguided aerial missiles at Novopil, Novodarivka, Huliaipole, and dropped GABs on Shevchenko.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders five times in the vicinity of Stepove and Zherebianky. All attacks have been repelled.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions, but conducted air strikes in Olhivka, Tokarivka and Mykolaivka.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation
Eight firefights took place in the Kursk sector since the beginning of the day, two of which are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy carried out nine air strikes, dropping 16 guided bombs, and fired 104 times at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.
There were no major changes in other areas.
