Putin will regret if he tries to "play" with Trump, - Senator Graham

Senator Lindsey Graham said that US President Donald Trump is the only one who can bring Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table.
He said this to CBS News, Censor.NET reports.
When asked by journalists whether Trump would sign the law on sanctions against Russia proposed by Graham, since the president has not yet imposed serious sanctions on this country, the senator said that Trump is probably waiting for the results of discussions held by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
"Trump is going to talk to Putin this week. You can't solve a problem until you talk to the person who creates it. And the problem is Putin. He is a predator on Ukraine and on the region as a whole," Graham said.
At the same time, the senator expressed hope that Trump would be able to convince Putin to come to the negotiating table.
"I hope that President Trump will be able to convince Putin to come to the negotiating table to declare a truce and find a solution that will be beneficial for both countries to stop the killing. You will never know until you try. And there's only one person on the planet who can do that, and that's President Trump. If Putin is playing with Trump, he will regret it," Graham emphasized.
Earlier, it was reported that a conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could take place next week.
To recap, the American president said on his social media account that the American side had "very good and productive discussions" with Vladimir Putin.
As you know, Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff visited Moscow the day before.
