In Kremenchuk, Poltava region, a man shot and wounded an RTCR serviceman in the leg with a traumatic weapon. The police seized the weapon. The investigative team is establishing the circumstances of the incident.

As noted, on 19 March, at around 07:00, while patrolling the city of Kremenchuk, a patrol police unit and military personnel of the RTCR saw a suspicious passer-by. When they tried to check his documents, the man fired a shot in the direction of the military, injuring his leg.
"Patrol police detained the man. The wounded soldier was treated by medics. Fortunately, he did not need to be hospitalised," the statement said.

The police investigative team that arrived at the scene found that the offender was a local resident born in 1977. The traumatic weapon was seized. The investigation is establishing the circumstances and causes of the incident. The legal classification of the incident is being decided.
