GMS "Sudzha" exploded in Kursk region, causing massive fire. VIDEO+PHOTOS

On the night of 21 March, explosions occurred at the "Sudzha" gas metering station (GMS) in the Kursk region.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Russian media and Telegram channels.

A fire broke out after the powerful explosions. Russian resources claim that a column of fire caused by the strikes on the facility can be seen on the border of Kursk and Sumy regions.

The Russians claim that the infrastructure of the gas pipeline on the border of Kursk and Sumy regions, which was carrying Russian gas to Europe, was hit.

Official Russian sources have not yet reported on the attack on the gas infrastructure in Sudzha and the subsequent fires.

At the same time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has already stated that Ukraine has already violated the ceasefire proposed by the United States.

"The question now is how Washington will continue to deal with the 'crazy terrorist scum'," she said.

The "Sudzha" GMS is the only station through which "Gazprom" pumped 42 million cubic metres of gas per day for transit to Europe. The station was an important element of Ukraine's gas transmission system.

However, as of 1 January 2025, the transportation of Russian gas through Ukraine was stopped. From now on, Ukraine's gas transmission system operates without transit of Russian gas.
