Meeting with US team started, proposals for security of energy and infrastructure facilities on table, - Umierov
On Sunday, 23 March, negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and the United States started in Saudi Arabia .
This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umierov on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"We have started a meeting with the American team in Riyadh. We are fulfilling the task of the President of Ukraine to bring a decent peace to our country and ensure security," Umierov wrote.
According to the minister, proposals for the security of energy and infrastructure facilities are on the table.
"Today we are working on a number of complex technical issues - our delegation includes energy experts, as well as military representatives of the naval and air components," said the defence minister.
Earlier it was reported that on Sunday evening, 23 March, representatives of Ukraine and the United States will meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss a possible partial ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
This meeting will take place a day before the talks between the US and Russian delegations scheduled for Monday, 24 March.
