Azov denies that suspect in Kryvyi Rih terrorist attack was member of brigade
The 12th Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov" denied media reports that Valentyn Pidkovych, a suspect in the preparation of a terrorist attack in Kryvyi Rih, was allegedly a member of the brigade.
The brigade reported this in a telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"Valentyn Pidkovych, detained by the Security Service of Ukraine and suspected of preparing a terrorist attack on behalf of the Russian Federation, is not and has never been a member of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine.
He also had nothing to do with the unit during the entire period of Azov's existence," the statement said.
The media were called upon to stop spreading fake information about the brigade and to better check their sources for veracity and objectivity.
Earlier, it was reported that a Russian agent was detained in Kryvyi Rih who was preparing an explosion near a local TCR on the order of the FSB.
