Russia is preparing large-scale offensive that should last from 6 to 9 months, almost entire year of 2025 - Associated Press

Russian troops are preparing to launch a new military offensive in the coming weeks to maximize pressure on Ukraine and strengthen the Kremlin's negotiating position in the ceasefire talks.
According to Censor.NET, this is reported by the AR with reference to the Ukrainian government and military analysts.
It is noted that this step will allow Vladimir Putin to have grounds for delaying negotiations on the cessation of hostilities in favor of finding new territories. Thus, Russia does not intend to engage in a meaningful dialogue to end the war.
As the spring fighting season approaches, the Kremlin is preparing for a multilateral offensive along the entire 1,000-kilometer front line, analysts and military commanders say.
Citing intelligence reports, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia is preparing for new offensives in the northeastern Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
"They are dragging out the negotiations and trying to drag the United States into endless and meaningless discussions about fake 'conditions' to buy time and then try to grab more land. Putin wants to negotiate the territory from a stronger position," Zelensky said in Paris.
Two G7 diplomatic representatives in Kyiv agreed with this assessment. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to give press briefings.
Russia effectively rejected the U.S. proposal for an immediate and full 30-day cessation of hostilities, and the possibility of a partial ceasefire in the Black Sea was called into question after Kremlin negotiators set out far-reaching conditions.
