Russia's Black Sea Fleet Marines sent to Syria
Censor.NET reports citing Russian media.
As reported, Russia's Marines will be the first to deploy in Syria, including the Navy logistics center in Tartus and the temporary Russian air base in Latakia. The Marines will also be supported by groups of special forces on board Russia's Mediterranean Sea naval task force landing ships.
As previously reported, U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter criticized Russia's involvement in the Syrian conflict and accused it of fomenting a civil war.
