Ukraine says US may be open to discussing changes to minerals deal - Bloomberg

The current version of the minerals agreement is unfavorable for Ukraine, so Kyiv will ask the United States to make changes.

Thus, according to a Bloomberg source, Ukraine will ask the United States to amend the new economic agreement proposed by the Trump administration, in particular, to promise to increase American investment.
It is noted that Ukrainian officials held a video call with their American counterparts, including lawyers, on Friday to get clarification on the latest draft of the agreement.
The source said that the Americans did not raise any objections to the concerns expressed by Kyiv, especially regarding the potential conflict of the agreement with Ukraine's EU membership goals.
"This suggests that Washington may be open to discussing changes, a Bloomberg source said," the article says.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had received a version of a new minerals agreement from the United States. The format of this agreement has been changed.
