In Poland, officers of the Internal Security Agency detained a Ukrainian suspected of spying for Russia.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs Jacek Dobrzyński, Censor.NET reports citing Polsat News.

A 47-year-old Ukrainian citizen, who, according to the Internal Security Agency (ABW), worked for Russian intelligence, was detained in the Mazovian Voivodeship of Poland. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland, the man was supposed to be reconnoitering information about military facilities in Poland.

Dobrzyński confirmed the detention, noting that ABW officers acted on the basis of the materials and conclusions they had gathered. Based on "strong evidence," the Polish prosecutor's office launched an investigation and charged the suspect with participating in Russian intelligence activities against Poland.

The Warsaw District Court ordered the detainee's arrest for three months.
