Russians conducted massive searches in Crimean Tatars’ homes in Crimea, - Chubarov

A new wave of mass searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars has taken place in Crimea, which has been seized by the Russian occupiers.
This was reported by the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, Censor.NET reports.
"It became known that on April 1, 2025, massive searches took place in the homes of Crimean Tatars in Crimea. This time, FSB punishers broke into the homes of Crimean Tatars living in the village of Ortalan (the occupiers call it Zemlianichne) in the Karasuvbazar/Belogorsk district. In four houses of Crimean Tatars, the punishers were looking for weapons and other prohibited items, including books included in the banned lists," he said.
According to Chubarov, in one of the houses where the Russian punishers broke in, live the parents of a well-known Crimean Tatar journalist Gulsum Khalilova, who works for the ATR TV company. In addition to her television programs, Khalilova is very active on social media, where hundreds of thousands of users, especially in Turkey, read her materials about the Russian-Ukrainian war every day.
"According to the report from the scene, the punishers who broke into the Khalilov family ignored the message that 75-year-old Khalil Khalil had been ill for several days and was therefore in bed. Armed and masked FSB officers searched all the rooms in the house and seized all electronic devices, including telephones. At the same time, the punishers, having broken into the house, immediately blocked all access to the yard, so that the alarmed neighbors could not visit the Khalilovs and witness the lawlessness committed by the Russian barbarians," he added.
It is also reported that as a result of the unrest, Khalil Khalilov became ill and an ambulance took him to the hospital.
