You can hear lot of crazy statements from Putin, you shouldn’t take them too seriously – Rutte

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte believes that one should not take too seriously the "crazy statements" about the peace agreement with Ukraine voiced by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
The NATO Secretary General said this at a press conference in Brussels on April 2, the EP reports, Censor.NET informs.
"You can hear a lot of crazy things from Putin and from Russia, including their demands around a peace agreement or something else. I wouldn't take it too seriously. Of course, we have to keep an eye on it and react to it," the official said.
Rutte added that he meant that "this is also the way Putinis trying to negotiate."
"I congratulate President Trump for breaking the deadlock, for starting the discussion, for the initial 30-day ceasefire on energy infrastructure, for the steps taken on the Black Sea. Of course, we hope for more. I know that the US administration is working on this day and night," the NATO Secretary General said.
In addition, Rutte said that it is important for European allies that countries such as France and the United Kingdom are already thinking about how the situation will develop after this ceasefire.
"I would comment on every statement Putin makes in the media, especially when it comes to what the Americans are trying to establish in terms of a ceasefire and a peace agreement - but that's not going to help. Nevertheless, you will hear a lot of strange things coming out of Moscow," the Alliance Secretary General summarized.
