Russian troops continue to actively strike in southern Ukraine, but have not made any territorial advances.

This was stated by Vladyslav Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, in a commentary to Ukrinform, Censor.NET reports.

"In the south, the enemy does not reduce the number of air strikes and kamikaze drone strikes. As for air strikes, it is quite actively using guided aerial bombs, for example, about 20-25 strikes by GABs  (guided aerial bombs) are recorded daily. In particular, today he also struck at the settlements adjacent to the line of contact, including Mali Shcherbaki and Kamianske. So the situation is quite complicated," said Voloshyn.

According to him, Russian forces carry out an average of 10-12 assaults by small infantry groups without armored vehicles every day. Over the past day, eight such attacks were recorded: three in the Huliaipole direction, four in the Orikhiv direction, and one in the Prydniprovske direction.

As noted, before the assault, the enemy is trying to destroy our fortifications with air strikes, GABs (guided aerial bombs) and artillery. But the Defense Forces repel these attacks by destroying infantry or isolating it from reinforcements.

He emphasized that the enemy did not capture any positions in the southern direction over the past week.

Voloshyn also noted that about 20% of strikes in the south are carried out by kamikaze drones. In the Kherson direction, the occupants strike not only at Ukrainian units, but also at civilians, trying to create a so-called "dead zone" with the help of aircraft, drones and artillery.
