Control zone of AFU in Sudzha district of Kursk region decreased by 8%, and "grey zone" expanded - DeepState

As of 8 April 2025, Ukrainian troops control 57.9 square kilometres in the Suzha district of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This is more than 5 square kilometres less than on 3 April, when the area was 63.18 square kilometres.
This is evidenced by DeepState data, Censor.NET reports with reference to "Interfax-Ukraine".
At the same time, the decrease in control is accompanied by the expansion of the "grey zone" - areas without clear control, where hostilities are taking place or positions are changing. Its area has increased from 81.18 to 84.77 square kilometres. Parts of the village of Guyevo in Kursk region and the village of Basivka in Sumy region are located within this zone.
It is also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain control over 11.35 square kilometres in the area of Tyotkino (Glushkovsky district of Kursk region), and another 9.48 square kilometres are considered a "grey zone". The area under the control of Russian troops in Sumy region remains unchanged at 0.69 square kilometres, and it does not include any settlements.
In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, the situation remains stable: the area of the ‘grey zone’ is 13.08 square kilometres and includes the villages of Popovka and partially Demidovka.
As noted, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has not yet commented on the situation in these areas. On its official maps, it does not mark the "grey zone" on Russian territory, in particular in the Belgorod region, and does not reflect changes in Ukrainian control in the Suzha district of Kursk region. The latest report refers to five Russian attacks on the AFU foothold in Kursk region, with no active hostilities to the west of it, including Ukrainian territory in Sumy region.
