Ukrenergo denies rumours about return of power outage schedules

Ukrenergo said that the information spread in the media and Telegram channels in recent days about the possible return of power outages is not true.
This was reported by the company's press service.
"No restrictive measures are currently in place. However, there is a real need for rational electricity consumption, as repairs to energy facilities after Russian attacks continue," the statement said.
At the same time, it is noted that due to the cold snap throughout Ukraine, electricity consumption has increased significantly. This, in turn, has led to an increase in the number of consumers switching on electric heating devices such as fireplaces, radiators, and air conditioners.
Ukrenergo acknowledges that the situation is further complicated by cloudy weather in part of Ukraine, which causes low efficiency of solar power plants.
Under these conditions, the power company urges all consumers - both households and businesses - to reduce the use of powerful electrical appliances and not to switch on several such devices at the same time between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. to reduce the load on the power system.
As reported, in March, Ukraine increased electricity imports to 272 thousand MWh, which is 11% more than in February, but 40% less than in March last year.
