Ukraine’s MFA summons Charge d’Affaires to China: we demand explanations
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has condemned the participation of Chinese citizens in the war against Ukraine on the side of the Russian Federation.
This is stated in a statement by the Ministry, Censor.NET reports.
"We strongly condemn Russia's involvement of Chinese citizens in its aggressive war against Ukraine, as well as their participation in hostilities against Ukrainian forces.
We summoned the Chinese Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine to the Foreign Ministry to condemn this fact and demand explanations," Minister Andrii Sybiha said.
According to the Foreign Minister, the participation of Chinese citizens in the Russian army invading Ukraine calls into question China's declared position on peace and undermines confidence in Beijing as a responsible permanent member of the UN Security Council.
Chinese citizens captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
As reported earlier, Ukrainian defenders captured two Chinese citizens in the Donetsk region. They fought in the Russian army.
