Occupiers intensify attacks in Lyman sector, most attacks in Pokrovsk - Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff. MAP
On 9 April 2025, the Ukrainian Defence Forces fought 149 combat clashes with the Russian occupiers.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 94 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, including 162 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 6,300 shellings, including 96 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,868 kamikaze drones to attack.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular in the areas of Petrushivka, Marine, Turia, Mala Rybytsia, Velykyi Prykil, Krasnopillia, Samotoivka, Myropilske, Uhroidy in Sumy region; Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia region.
Defeat of the enemy
Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defence Forces hit 11 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, an air defence system and two cannons of the Russian invaders.
Hostilities in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Kamianka and Fiholivka over the past day.
In the Kupiansk sector, two occupiers' attacks took place yesterday. Defence forces repelled the enemy's assaults near Zahryzove and Nova Kruhliakivka.
Situation in the east
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 27 times. He tried to advance near the settlements of Nadiia, Katerynivka, Myrne, Serhiivka, Nove, Kolodiazi, Yampolivka and in the directions of Zelena Dolyna, Hrekivka and Novomykhailivka.
In the Siverskyi sector, the aggressor made 10 attacks on the positions of our troops in the areas of Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka and Verkhniokamianske - all attacks were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk sector, two firefights were recorded in the area of Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 20 attacks near Toretsk, Druzhba, Dachne, Leonidivka and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 40 aggressor's offensives in the areas of Kalynove, Shevchenko, Troitske, Preobrazhenka, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Vodiane Druhe, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Andriivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Kotliarivka and Bohdanivka.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled six attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions in the direction of Bahatyr and near Kostiantynopil and Rozlyv.
South
In the Huliaipillia sector, the enemy made five unsuccessful attempts to advance in the area of Novosilka and in the direction of Shevchenko yesterday.
In the Orikhivskyi sector, our defenders successfully repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Lobkove and Shcherbaky.
Fighting in the Kursk region
In the operational area in Kursk region, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 19 attacks by Russian invaders over the past day. In addition, the enemy carried out 46 air strikes using 82 guided bombs, and fired 410 artillery shells at the positions of our troops and settlements, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions in the Prydniprovskyi sector.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
