Technical consultations between Ukraine and US on minerals agreement will begin on April 11 - Stefanishyna
Technical consultations between Ukrainian and American government teams on the future minerals agreement will start on April 11 in Washington.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna during a press conference in Brussels, Censor.NET reports with reference to the European Parliament.
When asked by journalists about the details of the consultations, Stefanishyna said that she could not provide more information yet, as the meeting had not yet taken place:
"I am not in a position to discuss any details because the meeting will be held only tomorrow, but I will be able to comment tomorrow," she said.
At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining Ukraine's commitments to the IMF and the EU's macro-financial assistance program. She emphasized that no element of the agreement could undermine these commitments:
"This is something that is not subject to any negotiation format, which means that the relevant adjustments should be made to the format of the agreement later," Stefanishyna added.
