85 combat engagements took place in frontline, most of them in Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions – General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, as of 4 p.m., 85 combat engagements have taken place at the front.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The situation in the north
The border areas of Ukrainian settlements suffered from Russian artillery shelling, including: Prokhody, Esman, Bobylivka, Kucherivka, Yastrubshchyna, Ulanove, Marine in the Sumy region; Tymonovychi in the Chernihiv region. The following localities in Sumy region were hit by air strikes: Petrushivka, Osoivka, Uhroidy, Mala Rybytsia, Prokhody and Velykyi Prykil.
Hostilities in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried to advance to our positions four times during the day in the direction of Pishchane and in the area of Zahryzove. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.
Hostilities in Donbas
The enemy increased the number of attacks to eight in the Lyman direction, attacking near Nove, Yampolivka and towards Dronivka, Hrekivka, Olhivka, Kotliarivka, Novomykhailivka, four battles are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy has already made four attacks today, three of which have already been repelled by Ukrainian troops. Occupiers' units are trying to advance towards Hryhorivka and in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled three enemy attacks, the enemy conducted offensive actions near Bila Hora and Kurdiumivka.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy tried to advance 16 times in the areas of Druzhba and Toretsk. Three combat engagements are currently underway.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy started clashes of varying intensity 27 times in the direction of Oleksandropil, Serhiivka, Kotliarivka and near the settlements of Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, and Bohdanivka. Ukrainian troops repelled 22 enemy attacks.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Kostiantynopil and in the direction of Bahatyr, one attack is still ongoing.
Hostilities in the south
In the Huliaipole direction, in the area of Pryvilne, three combat engagements have so far ended. At the same time, Novodarivka and Huliaipole came under air strikes with unguided missiles.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy made two futile attempts to advance to the positions of our defenders.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct any active operations.
Ukrainian Armed Forces Operation in Kursk Region
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled six invaders' attacks. In addition, the enemy carried out 23 air strikes, dropping 34 guided aerial bombs, and launched 207 artillery attacks, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.
In other areas, there were no significant changes in the situation.
