Ukraine is negotiating on another Patriot system - Umerov

8 roadmaps approved to support Ukraine until 2027

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov said that negotiations with international partners are ongoing to provide Ukraine with another Patriot air defense system.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the EP.

"We are now working with other countries to get another Patriot. Germany, as the leader of the "air defense coalition," knows who we are working with and will help us finance not only Patriot but also other systems," Umerov said.

He also noted the role of Germany, which not only coordinates this initiative but also pays for the purchase of other air defense systems and creates a fund to finance the purchase of interceptor missiles, including Patriot.

When asked about the possible production of interceptor missiles in Ukraine, Umerov replied: "We have been talking and do not want to go into details. This is currently being worked out, we are talking about modalities and how these enterprises will work in Ukraine."
