Ivan Sopiha appointed as State Secretary of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense – Umerov

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Ivan Sopiha as State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense.
This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, reports Censor.NET.
"At my recommendation, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Ivan Sopiha as State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense," he wrote.
According to Umerov, Ivan Sopiha is a professional public administrator with over 11 years of experience in civil service. He holds advanced degrees in political science, finance, and public administration, obtained from the National University of Ostroh Academy and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
He worked his way up from a local government specialist to senior positions in the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Minister added that prior to his appointment, Sopiha worked as the Director of the Department of Document Management and Control at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
‘I am confident that his experience, systematic approach and knowledge will be an important support for the effective work of the Ministry of Defence in wartime,’ Umerov said.
