Enemy tried to advance in Toretsk. Fighting continues in Kursk region - General Staff
Ukraine's defence forces are holding back the Russian occupiers' offensive and taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. At this time, there have been 58 military clashes since the beginning of the day.

Strikes on the territory of Ukraine
Today, the communities of Bila Bereza, Turia, Petrushivka, Prokhody in the Sumy region suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire, and Russian terrorists conducted air strikes with guided bombs in the areas of Naumivka, Osoivka, Petrushivka, Mala Rybitsa in the Sumy region.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
As noted, in the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders twice near Zahryzove and Nova Kruhliakivka, with one battle still ongoing.
The situation in the East
According to the General Staff, in the Lyman direction, the invading army launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novomykhailivka, Nadiia, and in the direction of Zelena Dolyna and Hryhorivka. Four of them are still ongoing.
‘Occupiers’ troops are looking for weaknesses in our defence near Verkhnokamianske and Bilohorivka in the Siversk direction. Three enemy attacks were successfully repelled,’ the statement said.
It is also noted that in the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers tried unsuccessfully to advance on Ukrainian positions in the Stupochki area.
In the Toretsk direction, 12 combat engagements were completed, and two more enemy assault operations are ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Dachne, Dyliivka and Toretsk.
'In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian invaders made 17 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near the settlements of Sukha Balka, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Troitske, Bohdanivka and Andriivka. The defence forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled 13 enemy attacks, with four more combat engagements still ongoing," the statement said.
The situation in the South
The General Staff also informs that in the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy tried to break through the defences of our defenders four times in the area of Kostiantynopil, Pryvilne, Vilne Pole and in the direction of Odradne. One combat engagement is still ongoing. Novopil came under an air strike.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy launched unguided aerial attacks on Huliaipole and Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repelled one enemy attack in the vicinity of Kamianske. The enemy launched an air strike on Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the invaders tried to advance to the positions of Ukrainian units once and were repulsed.
The situation in the Kursk region
‘Four battles took place in the Kursk direction since the beginning of the day. In addition, the enemy carried out 18 air strikes, dropping 37 guided bombs, and made 162 artillery attacks,’ the General Staff said.
In other areas, there were no major changes.
