Withdrawal of weapons in Donbas underway without deviations, - ATO HQ
The removal of weapons in the Donbas is proceeding without any deviations.
This was announced by ATO HQ press officer Leonid Matiukhin on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel, Censor.NET reports.
He said this in a comment on the cases recorded by the OSCE about failure of the Ukrainian side to remove its weaponry.
"There is a clear plan and those weapons the OSCE records will be withdrawn later as planned. The removal of weapons is proceeding without any deviations," Matiukhin stated.
He noted that the withdrawal is implemented under the OSCE supervision.
"Everything is being monitored by the OSCE [removal of weapons - ed.]. The journalists who went there yesterday even saw the observers moving alongside the withdrawn equipment," Matiukhin said.
He also commented on the process of mine clearance.
"The mine clearance is carried out at civilians' requests - when someone discovers explosives or even minefields, they send us a request. In case with the military, every unit has field engineers involved in lifting mines each day," Matiukhin stated.
