PGO requests to hear Korban’s case behind closed doors
The Prosecutor General's Office appealed to the court to consider pretrial restriction for Ukrop party leader Hennadii Korban in camera.
This was stated by representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office in the course of the meeting, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.
They have explained their motion by the fact that the pretrial investigation in this criminal proceeding was underway and it was necessary to prevent the disclosure of the investigation privilege.
According to prosecutors, hearing in camera will also ensure the safety of witnesses.
The lawyers called the prosecution's request unfounded. The defense also said that this motion was an attempt to hide violations against Korban during the investigation of criminal proceedings from the public.
